THE RENSKIB 7 STEP CLEANING PROCESS

Rinse the vessel off.

Rinse the vessel off. Remove al "old" wax and protection layers by using our R-100 Gel Coat Cleaner If you find chalk deposits on the surface use R-100 Yellow Stain and Barnacle remover. The latter is an acid that softens the calcium and then you can remove it. Now the yacht is ready for polishing.

West and dry sanding

If you have seriously matted or chalked surfaces, you may have to start by west and dry sanding. Thent hesurface mustbepolished by applying the R - 120 rubbing compound. This is a coarse 6000 grit liquid polishing paste. This product is polished by using a machine with thelambskin buffer or a polishing disc.

Liquid polishing

Nowthe hull and or the superstructure shall be polished with the fine R-130 a liquid pre- sealer. This is a fine 8000 grit liquid polishing paste for gel coat and hard to component painted surfaces. This surface wil now regain its shiny and smooth surface and leave it with a deep gloss

Clean the teak

If you need to clean the teak with the R-125 teak cleaner, now is the time. R-125 take cleaner is a very mild and effective cleaner for theteak. This product removes all organisms and dirt from the teak and freshens up the wood. By brushing the teak in circles, the treatment will also remove all the "dead" wood from the deck. It is importantto keepthe deck wet at all times. You may use the R- 125 teak cleaner without harming the sealer.

Wash the yacht

After the hull and/or the superstructure has been polished, and the teak is cleaned, wash the yacht with the Renskib R-140shampoo. This wil remove any remains from the polishing andteak cleaning, and the final sealing of the Gel Coat and two component painted services can commence. The cleaning ensures that the R-130B sealer wil stick well to thetreated surfaces.

Seal surfaces

Nowall polished gel coatand/or hardtwo-component painted surfaces shall be sealed by applying the Renskib R-130 B Sealer, which protects against UV-radiation. ONLY to be used on smooth surfaces(do not use onrawplasticparts). Apply 130 Bwitha slightly damp sponge on asmall area. Immediately polish the surface to high gloss with a dry and soft microfibre cloth. This final treatment gives the yacht a deep ceramic gloss and protects the treated surfaces against the influences of sunlight. The product is also a non-sticking agent.

Rinse the vessel off.

The routine maintenance will no be very easy and fast by using the Renskib R-140 Shampoo. This will make the result of steps 1to 6, even better. Renskib recommends:

Mix 20ml R-140 in 1 litre of water in a spray bottle, or as needed. Spray on a small area and wipe with adampmicrofibre cloth. Subsequently, dry/polish with a dry microfiber cloth. This ensures low water consumption and fewerlime and mineral depositsleft on the surface.
